The Urban Word Poets is a new ensemble of the WVU Center for Black Culture. This group explores cultural poetics through the performance of spoken word.

Take part in The Black Light Lounge in February. This event features nationally known poets and spoken word artists. Be a part of the poetry open mic, the food, the music and the fun.

Join this group at rehearsal, each Tuesday at 7pm in the WVU Mountainlair, Mountain Room.
