Conversations with Cops Event

Forum will open discussion between law enforcement and the WVU community

Mountainlair Commons (First Floor), WVU, 6-8PM, February 6, 2018:  “Conversations with Cops” is an ongoing multicultural program series that seeks to foster positive communication between Morgantown law enforcement and the cultural communities that create WVU. This event is our ongoing open-forum discussion of current events and the laws, rights, and legal ramifications for all of us. The key to a better world is open communication, and this is where it begins. Join us, and help us to create a better WVU for everyone.

This series is now in its fifth semester at WVU, and gives students, staff, faculty, and community members a chance to talk openly with law enforcement representatives about subjects such as: race relations, women’s rights, racial profiling, immigration, sexual assault prevention, drug law enforcement, campus safety, open-carry gun legislation, and many other subjects.

Representatives will be present from the Morgantown Police Department, the WVU University Police, the WV State Police, the Morgantown Police Department, the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the WVU Center for Black Culture & Research, and WVU Equity Assurance/Title IX.

This event will take place on the first floor of the Mountainlair on the Downtown WVU Campus.

Sponsored by the WVU Office of Multicultural Programs and the Morgantown Police Department. For more information, please email: Jason.Burns@mail.wvu.edu or call: 304-293-0890.
